For the treatment of wood waste, which represents significant volumes in our industry, we place the emphasis on recovering the biomass. A large part of wood waste (25,000 tons per year) is sold as a raw material to the paper industry. Another part of it, the barks, is used for enriching vineyard soil. The other waste is either reprocessed internally to generate heat energy or resold to feed the boilers in close-by collectivities. All of the wood waste is thus recovered as a raw material or a source of energy.
